Here you will find Home School Curriculum that we are using or have used in the past.  Included are items that we intend to use or simply recommend.  There are so many things that we would like to incorporate into our home school program, but there is never enough time to pursue every interesting thing that comes our way.

Creation Mini-Series DVD Pack By Answers In Genesis Answers in Genesis (AiG), a ministry based in Australia, is reaching people around the world with 'Creation Evangelism'. Last year the ministry opened the Creation Museum in Kentucky to better educate Christians and non-Christians alike about what the Bible says concerning the early days of planet Earth. Exploring Creation with Astronomy, Textbook By Jeannie K. Fulbright / Apologia Educational Ministries What would living on Venus be like? Are there really black holes? How did God create the cosmos? Answers in Genesis All-in-One Pilgrim's Progress Curriculum By Answers In Genesis No more flipping back from book to study guide! This unique, all-in-one curriculum for the Pilgrims Progress is a self-contained book, commentary and study guide on one of Christanity's classic novels. The full page text is the original, with no modern word substitutions; black and white illustrations of important scenes are included throughout. Within each chapter are side boxes with contextual information about the characters Christian encounters along his journey, Biblical truths, Christian history and more; applicable Scripture cross references are placed alongside the margins. Vocabulary words and memory verses are also included. Completing each chapter of text are the study portions with comprehension and Biblical questions, creating writing and drawing exercises and more. This oversized book has plenty of room for writing answers and drawing pictures with a clear font to refer back to. A unit study, character analysis, bonus information about John Bunyan and a Student CD with printable extension activities are also included! Here is one of my most used link that has been the greatest help of all to me with organizing not only our homeschool schedules, but the entire house.  In the past, the phrase that has been heard the most from me is "Where did I put that?" and lately it has been getting much better.  DonnaYoung.org is a site offers free school calendars, homeschool planners, planning tips, household planners and much more.  There are many free printable files for all of the core subjects and more.  For example in the subject of Math, there is free printable graph paper, Math drills, Clocks for Math worksheet, number and multiplication charts, Math Facts cards, and so on and so on.....

The web site is built by Donna Young who is a retired homeschooler and she has created the site Donnayoung.org to offer free homeschool planners, homeschool planning tips, school calendars, household planners, and printables in various subjects.  You may also visit her blog where she has so much valuable information on gardening, home, work and life in general.  In the future if this post gets buried below other great sites that I have found, simply look in one of the sidebars.  There will be a section dedicated to extremely helpful and educational homeschooling websites.     


HSLDA is another invaluable source of not only information, but protection.  No homeschooler should go without joining HSLDA ( Home School Legal Defense Association).  If you are not currently homeschooling, but are considering it, please visit this great  Introduction to Homeschooling source.  The information that HSLDA is important to all homeschoolers because they keep you on top of what your laws are in your state, what different states and countries are doing through their courts, schools and/or media.  They also provide a newsletter called The Court Reporter .  The best description I can give you of what HSLDA is about is in their own words..."Home School Legal Defense Association is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed."  
The monthly fee to join HSLDA is a mere $10, and it is worth so much more than that even if their legal defense is never needed, the opportunity to support such a wonderful organization for so little is priceless.
